London Postal Museum - guided tour and underground train ride
Wednesday 20 November 2019

Discover the secrets of mail distribution at The Postal Museum in London.  Journey back in time through the original tunnels and station platforms of London's 100-year-old postal railway.  Take a ride on Mail Rail (a miniature train) and experience 15 minutes of immersive underground exploration deep under The Royal Mail's Mount Pleasance.

In a separate building across Phoenix Square, there will be a Guided Tour of the Museum's Exhibition which will give us the opportunity to explore the history of one of the greatest of British inventions, the post – the beginnings of the earliest social network.  Some of the surprising exhibits range from cryptic Victorian Valentine cards to a lion encountered on Salisbury Plain.
